Barbarian Lovers were lauded by mainstream press and scored substantial airplay in Europe and Asia. In 1989, the band's indie LP, Fatal Embrace, was re-released in Europe by London's Aura Records. The Barbs later released two follow-up CDs, both of which were met well by European and college radio.
