oh how those 5 words bring back memories!!  What radio show was the most influential on your life?

You might think that they were just fun to listen to, but subtly they change the way we veiwed and thought of the world. 

Were you a Shadow fan, Abbott&Costellian, A Friend of Irma, or a Dog sledder?  It is amzing how just one of these shows can bring back a flood of memories!

Now in a world of computer games, quick-scene-change movies, and run-&-go days I think it is important for all of us to slow down and teach our kids to use their own imaginations without a television or computer screen around.

Why are the sells of G.I. Joe's and Barbie dolls slipping?  Is it anti-war sentiment or body-image concerns?  Well, while that may be some of it...most of it is due to when they kids stop playing with them, at age 5 or 6.  By then there are games&television shows aimed special just for them with bright flashy images, screaming, yelling, and excitement which they can't imagine.

Now share as my family listens to old radio shows and old classic movies; read as we share our thoughts, observations, and dreams or memories as the case maybe.

Come back to a simpler time, a simpler way; get your cup of cocoa, a bowl of popcorn, and your thinking cap!
