The Alex Show kicks off live and with an announcement about setting a show schedule. Tuesday and Thursday nights @ 10pm on The Alex Show’s channel on USTREAM.tv.

The Liberty Mutual commercial with that terrible song and images of people helping each other out makes Alex want to vomit. Another annoying commercial is the UPS one when they sing “logistics.”

One of the biggest stories of the day is with Star Wars star, Carrie Fisher , admitting that she snorted cocaine on the set of “ Empire Strikes Back.” What more amazing is that she admitted this while promoting a comedy tour in Australia. Who knew she was so hilarious?

Speaking of bad audio...Why does Mancow get some much press in the radio industry publications? The guy has not done anything in the past ten years.

ESPN's Bill Simmons has the worst voice in the history of media. It is so awful and he is so disinteresting when he talks that it takes away from his great writing.

Alex ends the program wondering if he had lost his manhood because he came home from work on Sunday and cut the grass while football was on. Alex thought it was good negotiating, because it gave him a couple of days of freedom but some would argue that his manhood was taken away from him.

Alex talks about life as a new homeowner and planning for a wedding next year.

In other news, one of Alex’s websites RideThePine.com is really taking off. After just a few weeks, it was featured in iTunes as a “New and Noteworthy” video podcast. A month later, RTP had over 220,000 views.

Alex talks about how unlike any other media, the internet can give you exact viewing numbers. No Arbitron, No Neilson, NO guessing, just exact numbers. This leads to a discussion of the potential of internet radio and comparing it to satellite radio.
Scotty has finally joined the rest of the world and got an iPod. A few months later, it was lost or stolen.

There will be always be radio, but to move forward the people in radio need to think new. The days of when an audience needs their “time and tempture” every ten minutes. With technology, most people have that info in seconds. Radio just needs to focus on quality content.

Alex tells a story of when he went out one night and was promoting S&A at a karaoke bar, and someone came up to him and trashed the show.

The guys talked about reading radio rumor boards, like Radio-Info . They both love reading the gossip. Alex said the only time he got mad at a posting was when someone questioned how S&A made it to Philly radio, claiming an old boss used his connections which were not true.

Scotty talks about seeing Alex’s father at the local 7-11 near the radio station, and that Alex’s Dad always seems grumpy and didn’t talk to Scotty the first couple of times he saw him.

S&A talk about why they didn’t reunite on WJSE after they were fired from WYSP . Plus, find out who they met with and why they were so confident that another job was right around the corner.

The former owner of Access 1 , which use to own WJSE, recently passed away. Scott tries to remind Alex of when they saw the owner during Scotty’s bachelor party, late night at the Trump Plaza casino. Alex's memory of that night is cloudy.

What happened to former call screener and intern, Stinks ? Yeah, yeah!

Alex talked about how he received a bunch of emails from a stripper a year after they left WYSP asking to remove photos off of ScottyandAlex.com. Alex said he didn’t want to (and didn’t have to) but did it anyway because it didn’t feel like getting anymore emails from the girl.

The guys talked about their relationships with the strip clubs when they were on the air and how they got tired of having them in studio all the time. Alex listens to Howard Stern everyday, but tunes out when he has girls in the studio. Scotty who is a huge Stern fan stopped listening because he misses the old, angrier Howard.

The Alex Show is proud to welcome Scott Reilly, reuniting The Scotty and Alex Show for the first time in almost a year. The guys start off the show wondering if anyone remembers their show because its been almost three years since the last time they were on the air together at WYSP in Philadelphia.

The reason the guys wanted to get together for a podcast was to discuss the recent format flip of their old station in Atlantic City, WJSE, to a dance station [Link]. Scotty still works at the station and gives a brief history of what happened at that station after he returned over two years ago, after S&A were let go in Philly. Scotty was convinced that he was almost fired when the station switched to Wild 102.7 on July 4th.

Alex talks about a recent documentary of the old JSE Rocks 102.7 that was on YouTube that featured Scotty just weeks after people from his morning show were fired. Alex said it was upsetting because he could tell Scotty looked depressed. The documentary is worth a watch because it gives a good, REAL glimpse into the life of radio.

Alex talked about he would never go back to radio and the guys discuss what life was like after they were fired at WYSP.

Scotty is recording the podcast while he is on the air at Wild 102.7. He has to break away every fifteen minutes to talk on the air, we can listen in. Is Spinderella dead???

Scotty talks about life as a Top 40/Dance jock. Alex regrets the sometimes easy money of radio that comes from personal appearances. At the time, Alex would complain if he felt the appearance made the show look bad, but now he wouldn’t care.

Scotty spent some time recently on ScottyandAlex.com to reminisce on some of the glory days. The pictures span their time in afternoon drive, to mornings, to nights in Philly. Its a cool place to spend some time but NSFW (Not Safe for Work).

Being in Philadelphia was a blessing and curse to the show. The guys had an experience of a lifetime making it to a major market, but being part of the Free FM debacle most likely ended their career together. Not many people who were a Free FM show ever made it back into radio.

The guys talked about how they are still shocked that no one knew they had a two night tryout in NYC, while they were still on the air in Atlantic City.

The guys laughed about how when they left to go to Philly, the company in Atlantic City took recently printed shirts for them and sent them back to the printer. The printer crossed out “Scotty and Alex” and ADDED a Mancow logo, who replaced S&A. Another great idea from management and consultants.

Goodbye WJSE

Wednesday July 7th - 10:10pm EST - Alex kicks off the show talking about how the heat has been at all time highs in the Boston area. In addition, Alex is really distracted because he received two phone calls in the first couple of minutes of the show. Alex rarely receives phone calls and really needs to talk to the two people that called.

Alex talks about the continuing success of RideThePine, and how yesterday being featured on the front-page of Mevio gave him a record number of downloads. So lets talk sports.

Lots of excitement over Lebron James’ Thursday night press conference to announce what team he will sign with. This is an unprecedented move. Alex bashed people who blame ESPN for this whole Lebron ridiculous, because it is the biggest story of the year. Maybe Lebron should wait to win a title before holding another press conference.

Alex hates the CBS television show “I Get that a Lot.” What bothers him so much is the episode with Paris Hilton and she only put on a pair of glasses like Clark Kent. People didn’t realize it was here until she took of the dumb glasses and were shock. The best part was that they tricked “Eddie” the older brother on Family Matters.

Interview with Louis “Twitchels” Centanni - Part 2

Louis "Twitchels" Centanni rejoins Alex for part two of their interview. Why a part two? Because Louis had to take care of some other stuff so the first interview was cut short. You would think these are the Frost/Nixon

tapes or that either one of them have actually accomplished something in their careers.

Louis explains how he got the nickname Twitchels on season 3 of The Simple Life with Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie.

Alex notices that Louis’ tourettes ticks are a lot worse during this interview than the previous conversation. They talk about Louis’ use of Marijuana to help common his tourettes and what its like to be an open user of an illegal drug.

Alex talks about how Twitchels’ 21st birthday party involved a wrestling card in his backyard featuring King Kong Bundy, Tito Santana, and Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka. The guys talk about what it was like to see Snuka walking around smoking cigarettes and missing all of his teeth. Tito Santana also tried to rip-off Louis, but King Kong Bundy confronted Tito and got Louis’ money back.

Louis tells a surprising story of how he tried to commit suicide and hang himself from his bed when he was fourteen, but he was so large at the time that the bed board snapped. It was a situation that was joked about within his family and then never brought up again.

Louis tells us what he has been up to with his comedy and movie career.

Interview with Louis “Twitchels” Centanni - Part 1

This special episode of The Alex Show features an interview with long-time friend, Louis Centanni. Louis known all over the world as Twitchels, the comedian with Tourettes, had been featured on MTV, the Opie and Anthony show, and the Scotty and Alex radio program.

The guys start off the show talking about how its been well over a year since they last talked. Alex felt that since it had been such a long time and that Louis had never made an appearance on the podcast, that they should start at the beginning from the first time they met.

Twitchels tells the story of how he first found fame by making an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno doing his “belly-ball” act. This act developed after Louis had peaked at three hundred pounds because of the side effects of the medication he took to control his tourettes. After he graduated from high school, Centanni made the decision to take himself off the different medications and he quickly dropped the weight. However, he was left with a large amount of skin flab that hangs over his waist. The act involved Louis holding a wiffle ball bat with his flab and hitting a ball off a baseball tee.

Twitchels talks about how he was bumped the night he was scheduled on The Tonight Show for Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn promoting Dodgeball.

This was the act that was performed during Twitchels first appearance on The Scotty and Alex Show. Alex loved the total package that Twitchels brought to the show. His energy, his personality, and his tourettes.

A few months after his appearance, Louis started to get booked on the Opie and Anthony radio show that helped his career take off. Louis talked about his last appearance that happened over a year ago, which was preceded by a night sleeping on former Saturday Night Live cast member Colin Quinn’s couch.

The interview was cut short but will be picked up in the next podcast.

How did OJ Simpson get away with it?

The Alex Show starts off with Alex explaining why the show was pushed back two days. Game 7 of the 2010 NBA Finals and a belly ache/sugar coma got in the way.

The success of RideThePine.com has been amazing. Alex talked about how his sports site is currently in the midst of a two month trial to see if it's a viable concept. TheAlexShow.com is still Alex’s pride and joy but Alex has always been a huge sports fan.

How did OJ Simpson get away with everything in the Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman murder trial. ESPN aired its newest episode of the 30 for 30 series that was titles June 17th, 1994. This was a big day in sports history. It featured the New York Rangers Stanley Cup parade, Game 5 of the NBA finals between the Knicks and Rockets, opening day of the World Cup in the United States and Arnold Palmer’s final appearance at the US Open golf championship. Alex was reminded how Simpson basically left a suicide note and was shocked that the 911 call that Simpson made while in that infamous white Ford Bronco was not allowed to be used in the trial. Alex wondered if it was karma that some of those lawyers in the OJ Simpson trial are now deceased.

Alex comes back and informs everyone that in an upcoming episode, Twitchels, a world famous comedian with Tourettes will be calling into the show. Twitchels was a long time featured guest on the “Scotty and Alex” show in Atlantic City and Philadelphia and the Opie and Anthony show.

Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green are engaged again. Alex still can’t get past Green’s 90210 poser character, even though he was a bad ass in the Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles television show on Fox.

Alex ends the show talking about the death row inmate who was killed in Utah by a firing squad. Ronnie Lee Gardner was sentenced to death in 1985 just months before Utah banned death by a firing squad. Alex can’t believe that it took this long to kill this guy.

Oil Celebrities, Gary Coleman Death Photos and Sports

Alex starts off the show talking about another celebrity that can be added to the list of oil savers, Troy Aikman. It has to be embarrassing if you are a scientist and haven’t been approached with ideas to stop the oil. What about the guy who actually found the Titantic (Bob Ballard), and not the guy who filmed a movie about it? I heard Nolan Ryan might have some good ideas, that will last another nine-innings.

Alex tells the wild story of Jordan Van der Sloot who you might remember from the Natalee Holloway case. Van der Sloot has been arrested for the murder of Stephany Flores in Peru. The story is just insane, with Van der Sloot unknowingly taking money from the FBI in a setup and then heading to Peru where he murdered Flores in a fit of rage because she found stuff on his computer about the Holloway case.

Alex is sore from how quickly he jumped of the Flyers bandwagon after they lost the Stanley Cup from the Chicago Blackhawks last night. If you think that was bad, wait and see if the US does well in the World Cup. Alex will remind everyone that has a goalie in 8th grade he had a shutout season.

The college football landscape is changing like never before. There could be a set of brand new “super” conferences. That won’t make things any better for USC who will be penalized for the next couple of years for violations during the Reggie Bush era. Alex wonders if Reggie Bush even cares. He has a Super Bowl ring, millions of dollars, and Kim Kardashian...I would say college prepared him well.

Interview with Comedian Dan Boulger

The Alex Show is off to a late start, because of a carbon monoxide scare in his studio (home). About three minutes before the show was suppose to start at its regularly scheduled time of 10pm on Thursdays, all the alarms in the house started to buzz. Alex aired out the house and waited, and waited, and waited. Finally he called the fire department so they could figure out the problem. Of course, the alarms stopped buzzing as soon as the fire truck pulled up to the house. Alex is completely flustered...

Alex talked about the weird scenarios surrounding the almost perfect game for Detroit Tigers pitcher Armando Galarraga. With one out away in the bottom of the ninth, the first base ump blew a call that cost Galarraga the perfect game. The runner was clearly out. The ump apologized after the game, but Alex disagreed with the idea of MLB commissioner Bud Selig overturning the call. The moment was then and that moment has passed.

Ken Griffey Jr. retired and Alex told a great story of Griffey making fun of a fan at a Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia. He was possibly the greatest “clean” baseball player in the past 50 years.

The Alex Show has its first guest ever and its comedian Dan Boulger. Alex came across Dan’s comedy when he was using StumbleUpon.com (Alex’s StumbleUpon profile). Alex loved his style and thought it was one of the best five minute acts he’s seen in a long time. Alex talks to Dan about what it was like winning the 2006 Boston Comedy Festival and how he quit college the very next day. (Check out Dan's Winning Set)

Dan and Alex also talk about the impact of the internet on comedy and is it hard to keep things fresh on stage. Dan talks about dealing with hecklers and that his demeanor on stage normally keeps people off guard.

Curse Words, Wimpy Voices, and Series Finales

The Alex Show starts off rocking jerseys, not the italian kind but the NBA throwbacks (Michael Jordan Wizards jersey to be exact). Alex talks about what life is like with no central air in his home.

Alex talks about how is trying to get back into shape, mostly to win a free t-shirt.
He told a story of how he went running at dusk and kept getting freaked out about running into wild animals or dogs. Alex was so jumpy that when a rap song came on he freaked out and mashed-up two curse words together. (too explicit here)

When you actually hear people talk it makes you not want to like them anymore. Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, made a statement about the recent privacy concerns and he sounded like a big wiener. Alex was really disappointed when he first heard ESPN’s Bill Simmons do his podcast because he sounded so wimpy.

Alex admits that he he a bandwagon Philadelphia Flyers fan. He has barely watched any of the playoffs and probably wont watch much of the Stanley Cup, but he normally gets a couple of highlights in the morning and than spouts them off as if he knows whats going on.

There was an article that came out right before the show started that talked about Boston turning into the “City of Chokers” with the Celtics losing two games in a row after going up 3-0 on the Orlando Magic. Alex wondered if it was karma for the Red Sox beating the Yankees in the 2004 playoffs which, without a doubt, is the greatest comeback in the history of sports.

Alex ends the show talking about the oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico and how BP and the brilliant scientist that work there have turned to actor Kevin Costner because he has invested over $40 million over the past 15 years to create something that would separate oil from sea water...Kevin Costner.

Alex shares a dirty little secret to everyone, he didn’t shower. Normally he would get very parinoid about his stench, but today he took it has a victory over everyone around him. Sounds like someone has issues.

TheAlexShow.com has blown up after the posting of the “Nope” Lebron James shirt that could be seen on Celtics home game. Also, Alex got some exclusive shots of the new “Tragic” Dwight Howard shirts, but was asked to take them down.

Life Lessons, Glee Stinks, and Friends with an Ex

Alex starts off the show talking about how he had a ton of ambition today, but it all went away because he “kept stepping into sh*t.” Its funny the things that you remember in life, Alex always thinks about his cousins' philosophy on life (one problem to the next) or his best friend’s saying that was based on everything in the universe equaling out. (Really funny, but you have to listen for all the details).

Alex was really disturbed about a segment that he saw on 60 Minutes. Lawrence Stowe, has been taking people’s money for treatments of incurable diseases like MS, ALS, and much more. There is no proof that these treatments work, and when 60 Minutes busted him, he just denied, denied, denied. [More]

Pittsburgh Steelers’ Quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger, was suspended for 6 games for breaking the NFL’s personal conduct policy. Alex can’t believe that Big Ben would expose himself in some redneck bar in Georgia.

Fox’s Glee is not one of Alex’s favorite shows. Alex just thinks its annoying, because he likes good plots and the dumb musicals just get in the way. Glee’s “The Power of Madonna” soundtrack is projected to finish number 1 on Bilboard’s US pop album chart. Ugh

Alex also discussed a local story in Providence, in which a bar owner left the scene of a crime after his car flipped over on the highway and the passenger (his cook) died. It is in these types of situations that true identities come out, your either that type of person to stay and help or run.

Alex starts off the show talking about the unusual warm weather in New England. Alex had a lot planned for the night, but most of that was ruined because he had to get rid of a snake that ended up in his garage. This is after just days before he found “the largest spider he had ever seen” in his house.

Another Tiger Woods mistress has emerged and this time its his 22 year-old neighbor’s daughter. It really isn’t that surprising anymore, but why is Tiger sporting a creepy goatee at the Masters. Not a good look for someone who is trying to convince the public that he is not a sexual beast. [More]

Jim Carey announced on his Twitter page that he and Jenny McCarthy broke up after a five year relationship.

Tiki Barber is an asshole. Alex has always proclaimed that he could tell that Tiki Barber was not a good dude, and the proof is that Tiki is filing for divorce with his wife. By the way, she is eight months pregnant. He’s leaving her for some 23 year-old former NBC intern. What’s even worse is that Tiki has always bad mouthed his father for leaving his mother and family, and now he is doing the exact same thing.

The Alex Show starts off blasting April Fools Day. Alex is trying to figure out why he hates this day so much. He was getting frustrated trying to write new material, because he couldn’t tell what was real or fake on the internet and he did not want to be someone who goofed on something that was not real.

For example, Alex couldn’t believe that Cleveland Brown star Shaun Rogers would be dumb enough to try and bring a gun on a plane (apparently its real). Or that Tiger Woods wanted to be referred to by his real name, which is Eldrich (which is fake).

In his radio past, Alex has had good and bad April Fools Day experiences. Hear about them!

Alex talks about the flooding problems that he’s having in his new home in Rhode Island.

Alex may be the only person in the world that was shocked to find out that Ricky Martin is gay. Alex just thought he was foreign and that his gay tendencies were normal for someone not from the USA.

Alex had a terrible experience with his car inspection. In Rhode Island, you have to go to an auto shop or car dealer to get an inspection, without surprise they wanted to charge a couple of thousand dollars for repairs to pass.

Exhaustion is setting in because Alex was with his father-in-law putting in recessed lighting so Alex was in his attic all day...and was scared to death of running into a mouse, rat or both

Bushdashian is breaking up, thats New Orleans Saints Running Back Reggie Bush and reality star Kim Kardashian. Alex is not surprised after seeing their interview together on the NFL Network after the Super Bowl. Alex said that Kim was taking credit for Reggie’s success and was hogging the spotlight.

Disappointment about the series finale of FX network’s Nip/Tuck. For a show that has been so outrageous, Alex thought the ending was kind of weak. Alex’s ending: Christian so upset that Sean wants to leave that he suffocates him while hugging him as he cries because he can’t live without Sean...would have been great!

Jesse James is in trouble again. Another mistress has come out and reports that James has posted for “Busty Biker Babe.”

Adam Lambert made a big splash on the American Music Awards Sunday night, but not to Alex. For two days, Alex thought, from the photos, that Adam had kissed another girl on stage. He couldn’t believe that the blond person in the photo was another guy. Alex supports Adam Lambert and talked about how music artist always push the boundaries. But then Alex listened to Adam’s song and thinks it stinks.
