I’ve never dabbled in Lolita before. I thought that it was just a bold Gothic abundance of weirdom.

Girls decked out in puffy baby doll dresses, knee socks, bows, bonnets, and crazy platform heeled Mary Janes. There is an established Lolita community.

In Japan, Lolita girls are everywhere it is a street fashion subculture. Now in America you can find young American girls in Lolita hanging out.

Let’s go in for ourselves and find out some more about this San Franciscan Lolitas.

I guess it’s just something that we’ll have to accept-the dress code is strict and the first step involves wearing a frilly petticoat. Baby the Stars shine bright is the perfect place for it!

Lolita fashion is noted for its over the top child fantasy themes and a pastel palette. I feel like a several layer ice cream cake!

OkOk, so it’s coming to my understanding that there are different kinds of Lolita? What about the simple red and black gothic Lolita outfit?? There’s actually the Gothic Lolita, Elegant Gothic Lolita, or EGL is what the scene calls it and the Deco Loli look. The EGL is this.... Deco Loli is rainbow pastels, heavy makeup, and over-the-top accessories.

Since social networking has changed the face of human interaction
through out the span of a mere 10 years, China too has leading popular
social networking sites. For the avid Facebook users and advocated of
Social Gaming-Farmvilleactually originated in China from the most
popular social network Renren.com. Renren.com is a facebook replica
with an English translation meaning 'everybody.'

With China's population of roughly 1.3 billion civilians it isn't
surprising how quickly these new networks catch up with Twitter and
Facebook. Weibo.com or referred to as "Twitter of China" shares many
similarities with Twitter since they are both microblogs. But on the
flip side what draws the border between these two, other than the vast
bodies of water, is the content displayed by each participant. Where
the multitude of twitter users tend to exhibit the importance of
politics and business archives, Weibo has more content about a
'celebrity lifestyle' ranging from fashion tips to jokes. This being
known it contributes to the known tight censorship of China's
traditional media.
