But, I've been watching and reading of his travels since he set our this summer on 7-7-07.

I asked him seven questions and he answered them. Instead of inter cutting my questions I decided to just let his answers roll with the background noise and sounds. Feels much more real that way.

Quick update on what I'm doing including talk of new clients such as Rhett Butler's People, Ronnie: The Autobiography and My Home 2.0 from Verizon FiOS.

I also reminded people that we are swimming in a dirty fishbowl and instead of just changing the water I think it would be better to smash it completely and start in a bigger tank with all new water and toys. But, maybe that is just me. What do you think? I'd love to hear.

I'm very interested in what everyone else thinks about these things. I want to get a lot of input on these topics so I hope you'll swing by Manging the Gray and leave a comment or call in to the comment line at 206-309-4729.

This past weekend in Boston, people from all over the country gathered for PodCamp Boston. This first of it's kind event drew all sorts of people. Photos were taken. Content was produced. New friends are made.

A personal highlight for me came when my buddy Mitch Joel and I gave a presentation to a standing room only crowd about how indviduals and companies can build their brand and become part of the conversation. It felt good. It felt energetic. It felt like perfect timing.

We didn't get to finish the presentation which is too bad. I honestly think that the final points in the presentation are the most powerful. But, thanks to technology you get to hear a recording of what we did give. There are some inside jokes and interaction with the audience, but I hope the content is worthwhile.

Thank you Mitch for being part of this, It was both an honor and a privilege to do this with you.

I'm back from vacation and was psyched to see the NFL back on television last night.

It got me thinking about some very simple things that sports teams are missing out on and that would not be that hard for them to embrace in the new media space.
Second Life Primer

 <itunes:author>C.C. Chapman</itunes:author>

Tonight the show is about one thing. Second Life.

I've been in too many meetings and conversations where it quickly becomes apparent that people either don't know enough or they think the wrong things about Second Life and I wanted to clear it all up with what I hope is a good overview of what Second Life is and isn't.

Virtual worlds and new media go together like the infamous chocolate and peanut butter. Sure, right now everyone might not see the connection, but we will all look back someday and shake our heads at the doubters.

This picture is one of the meetings that I mention on the show where like minded individuals gathered at my house to discuss marketing. Doesn't it look more fun then the same old boring chat room?

One thing that I completely forgot to mention on the show is to thank Eric Rice for introducing me to this and for being completely forward thinking. That guy continues to tap new corners of this world and pushing forward to help out everyone. Not only is he a great guy, but damn is he fun to watch. And I mean that in a completely business manner.

If this introduction to Second Life isn't enough and you want to discuss further I'm only an e-mail away.
