Show Notes For February 9, 2008

This month's drink:
Mojito
2-3 oz Light Rum
Juice of one lime
2 tsp. Sugar
2-4 mint sprigs
Soda Water
Lightly muddle the mint and sugar with a splash of soda water in a mixing glass until the sugar is disolved and you smell the mint. Squeeze the lime into the glass, add rum and shake with ice. Strain over cracked ice in a highball glass. Top with soda water and garnish with a mint sprig.

Muddling
Muddling is a simple mashing technique for grinding herbs in the bottom of a glass. You can use a wooden muddler, a large wooden spoon, or a bar spoon.

1 oz Light Rum
1 oz Coconut Rum
1 oz Blue Curacoa Liqueur
1 oz Grenadine Syrup
1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
1 oz Club Soda
1 Dash of Coconut Rum
Pour the rums, blue curacao, grenadine, and lime juice into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes. Shake well and strain into a highball glass filled with ice cubes. Add the club soda and stir. Top with a dash of rum.

3/4 oz. Watermelon Pucker Schnapps
Mix equal amounts into a shot glass and serve.

1 Twist of Lemon Peel
Pour Scotch and Drambuie into an old-fashioned glass almost filled with ice cubes. Stir well and garnish with lemon peel.

Frangelico
Brown Creme de Cacao
Cream
Pour equal amounts of each ingredient into a steel shaker over ice. Shake until completely cold. Strain into preferred glasses. Great as a drink or shot.

Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into shot glasses.

This week's drink and shot:
Robert's Lemon Scented Scotch
1 tsp Superfine Sugar
1 oz Lemon Juice
1 tap Water
2 oz Scotch Whiskey
1 Maraschino Cherry
1 Slice of Lemon
In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine the sugar, lemon juice, and water. Shake well. Strain into a highball glass with crushed ice. Add the scotch. Stir well and garnish with the cherry and lemon slice.

Lemon Drop
1 shot Absolut Citron Vodka
1 Slice of Lemon
1 tsp Sugar
Drink the shot of vodka and follow it by biting down on the sugar-coated lemon slice.

Kilted Black Leprechaun
1 part Bailey's Irish Cream
1 part Malibu Cocnut Rum
1 part Drambuie Scotch Whiskey
Layer the ingredients in the listed order into a shot glas and drink. Do not substitute Drambuie for a different type of scotch.

4 oz Pineapple Juice
Add Midori and Malibu to a highball glass full of ice, top with pineapple juice, stir and serve.

Chocolate Cake Shooter
1/2 shot Absolut Citron Vodka
1/2 shot Frangelico Hazelnut Liqueur
1 Lemon Wedge
Mix equal parts Absolut Citron and Frangelico into a shot glass. Drink the shot and follow it immediately by sucking on a sugar-coated lemon wedge.
