Healthy Inner Beauty

		<itunes:author>Marianne B.</itunes:author>

When going to the grocery store people are faced with an array of
options, yet many are filling their shopping carts with boxed goods
from the freezer section or other aisles. Many people live a commuter
lifestyle making it hard for them to find time to cook, resulting to
the quick fix from pre-made food. While at the same time, people are
complaining that they are gaining weight and are low on energy. Little
do they know the food they eat could be the cause of their problems.
As the saying goes, “you are what you eat.”

If people knew what they were eating would they eat it? Would they
still pick up that box of cookies if they actually read the
ingredients? Would they choose their food differently if they knew the
benefits of the fresh options they had available?

In this show Marianne Bridgeman, Holistic Health Coach and Natural
Food Chef, will help people understand what they are truly eating and
doing to their bodies. She packs in 15 minutes (or less) 4 different
categories.

1. Food Focus
The purpose of Food Focus is to get people in tuned with the variety
of food out there and their benefits or not so benefits. She will
focus on a specific type of food; for example, she would breakdown
blueberries and why they are beneficial or she would breakdown a
hamburger and to why it may not be so beneficial.

2. Food Review
The purpose of Food Review is designed to help people understand what
they are putting in their body. This segment will focus on off the
shelf products. She will deconstruct the packaging to see what they
are telling people on the front vs. what people are actually getting
on the inside. She will discuss a variety of items from the good to
bad.

3. Affirmation of the Week
This is Marianne's favorite part about the podcast because on a day
to day basis people have the tendency to have more negative thoughts
than positive. She would like to start putting positive thoughts in
peoples minds.

Some may ask what is an affirmation? An affirmation is a positive
statement that describes a desired situation, and which is repeated
many times, in order to impress the subconscious mind and trigger it
into positive action. In order to ensure the effectiveness of the
affirmations, you have to repeat with attention, conviction, interest
and desire.

4. Tip of the Week
In tip of the week it is exactly what it is, a new tip of some kind
for you. For example, there can be a tip on how to ripen an avocado
faster or how to make water taste better.

And every once in a while, she will switch it up and may do a Fit
Review instead of a Food Review.

Marianne loves to hear from people. Her show is built on people's
request on foods they want to know more about. If people have a
specific food or off the shelf item that they want her to bring up in
one of the episodes or if they have a favorite affirmation or have a
tip of the week of their own and want to share contact Marianne. She
is here to help people any way that she can.

Note for manufacturers: If there is a product that your company has
that is a benefit to people, then please contact Healthy Inner Beauty
to discuss details.

Carrots' antioxidant compounds help protect against cardiovascular disease and cancer and also promote good vision, especially night vision.

Food Review: Tinkyada Pasta

Whole wheat pasta seems to not satisfy that craving for pasta and I'm always searching for new gluten free products and I came across this pasta that is made out of brown rice, rice bran and water.

And it’s even wheat free, gluten free. It’s not mushy and when you cook it, it comes out just right. It taste great and now you can still have pasta.

Affirmation of the Week: I allow a life of happiness.

Tip of the Week: Cravings at Night

Today we spoke about carrots and for those who have sweet cravings at night I suggest to incorporate some baked carrots into your diet. Maybe as a light snack or during lunch. Adding this vegetable will not only give you the nutrients we discussed today, but the satisfaction of having something sweet. They are delicious and get sweeter when baked. Another vegetable you can incorporate to help with these sweet cravings is sweet potatoes.

Special Rewards: Earn Money

I am so thankful for everyone's support and in thanks I have decided to offer rewards for the referrals Healthy Inner Beauty receives. Brown rice in particular has many benefits which I have already discussed in episode 2 and oats which we will be talking about today is loaded with manganese which provides so much for us.

Fit Review: Gyrotonic

What’s so great about this is it helps you understand the flow of your body and the movement it is capable of. It can help you understand how to use your body when doing certain activities like kayaking or dancing, or anything that has movement so that you can last longer and have more energy.

Affirmation of the Week: I always contribute in healthy ways to my body.

Tip of the Week: Helping Acne

A lot of people focus on the topical products to heal their acne problems where the root of the problem usually stems from within. I have helped my clients achieve a natural glow just with the change of what food they consume. Most people don’t take this into consideration. One of the safest ways to treat acne is by changing the foods you eat and your fluid intake.

Sponsors

Save 20% off any order of $75 more at Eastbay.com by use code AFBEUT20

Buckwheat is known to lower glucose levels and is beneficial for managing diabetes.

Food Review: Mary Gone Crackers Sticks & Twigs

Mary Gone Crackers was reviewed once before for their crackers in Episode 6 , but this new snack of theirs is another great product which in 1oz serving it contains 550 mg of omega 3 fatty acids. This snack resembles a stick pretzel, but is made with whole grains and seeds. It's great for those with gluten sensitivities.

Affirmation of the week: I know I can be successful as I make up my mind to be.

Tip of the week: Don't deprive yourself

Deprivation is not the solution. The lifestyle change of eating healthy is to be an enjoyable experience where you can add in the good foods which eventually crowd out the not so healthy foods. When one deprives of food they love they only have a chance of sabotaging themselves. I know so many people who were on diets who end up going back to their old ways because they found it so hard to give up. It shouldn't be about giving up.

BONUS Article: Benefits of working with a holistic health coach

Saying their burgers is charbroiled, showing that its not fried or cooked in grease. That of course will attract some people! There is a lot of speculation of what is actually in the meats. Watch this video to get some background. Makes you wonder what is really in there that it could last so long.

      Bionic Burger Video

Food Review: Minute Maid Pomegranate Blueberry Juice

Juices are pasteurized and heat-treated to kill dangerous pathogens, which further destroys vitamins. You might see juice drinks that are vitamin C-fortified — meaning the manufacturers add it. Look at the list of ingredients for ascorbic acid — that’s added vitamin C. Basically, there is a lot of taking out and putting back in. You can only imagine what is happening to the true nutrients and vitamins that this juice is supposed to be giving you.

Affirmation of the week: I do not let fear or doubt hold me back. I live a life of adventure and not regret. I step out in faith, taking action to achieve my vision. Many of the beauty products these days are loaded with other chemicals which cause the skin irritations, so why not save money and make a mask that will give you what you need at home.
