Your American listeners can listen to Radio 1 on Sirius (channel 11, I think). It's delayed five hours so the on-air time checks match Eastern Time. (Chris Moyles will be on at breakfast time instead of the middle of the night.)
Radio 1 is also available live on the Internet and the BBC web site has a "listen again" facility for a week after broadcast.

sorry for TV in the background - will not happen again ;-) --- I have "something running in background" so often that I almost not notice it running.

another naive thing in your thinking about Moyles: he has so many listeners ONLY because he is broadcasted on BBC in hot time slot, NOT BECAUSE HE IS SO GOOD. If he would do podcast he would not get even 1% of audience that he has now. Do you get it?
