My name is Alexander Jien An Ling. I'm an emotional person. These raw emotions supply the passion for me to paint with words and music.

The first time that I remember how profoundly music affected me was in fifth grade. My parents were playing Benny Goodman on a VINYL RECORD PLAYER (I still have one). This incident inspired me to pick up clarinet from fifth grade on to my sophomore year of high school. During this time I was exposed to so many artists from different time periods. Some of my favorites were the Beatles, Michael Jackson, 2pac, Stone Temple Pilots, Yanni, Rage Against the Machine, Wu Tang Clan, Phil Collins, Enya, and anything that was passionate and innovative. From that point on I experienced some dark years battling depression until about the age of 22. During this time I immersed myself into the underground Hip Hop and rave scene in the mid to late nineties. This was my introduction to the cutting edge music which would forever change me
