In this first part we take a quick look at the jewel in the crown, when it comes to museums in the North East of England. Beamish Open Air Museum.

If you are planning a visit, allow yourself the whole day. There is so much to see and do at the site. Now you will see what looks like countryside, however this is all part of the museum. You are just as likely to see corn dollys being made as you are to see horses working the field.
