Day Trips Alaska Itinerary 1: Anchorage to the Mat-Su Valley

MEVIOtoday

Dec 13, 2007 Itinerary 1: Anchorage to the Mat-Su Valley

Today we take you from the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport to the gates of the Matanuska-Susitna Valley.  On the way out we'll take a break to stretch out legs on an easy hiking trail at Thunderbird Falls.  It's a perfect one mile stroll to get the blood going after flying and driving for too many hours.

We'll end up at the Mat-Su Visitor's Center where we'll plan our next few itineraries.

For a map and additional information, see our custom Google Map.

If you have Google Earth (free from Google) installed on your computer, you can download the KMZ file for a richer experience (link located right above the map image in the Google Map page).

Our upcoming itineraries will feature restaurants, lodgings, and attractions to see or do.  Subscribe on iTunes or right here from the Podshow Network.

If you have travel questions about anything Alaska, email them to matt@daytripsalaska.  We'd love to answer them on the show and of course we'll also send a personal email back to you.

Thanks for watching!
