in this episode, i discuss the last of the five phrases. i mention a gang in mount vernon that has the nerve to call itself the goonies. after this episode was recorded, a story appeared on a local news program about this gang beating up a 12-year kid because he wouldn't join them. his father tried to protect him and ended up getting beat up himself. what's more, supposedly the parents of the gang members are suing the victim's parents, claiming that the father attacked them and that the kids were only defending themselves. apparently, thug mentalities begin at home...
