The Alternative Kitchen Garden AKG015 - Courgettes

MEVIOtoday

Dec 13, 2007 AKG015 - Courgettes

In this episode Emma talks about growing courgettes - they're easy, fast and prolific and can be sown now. The only problem is likely to be what to do with all the fruit later in the summer.

Seeds of Italy have a fantastic selection of varieties and have been kind enough to donate some courgette seeds to be given away to AKG listeners - check out the show for further details.

Kitchen Gardeners International are an organization promoting kitchen gardening, home cooking and sustainable food systems. They're currently running a competition for people who are promoting kitchen gardening - there's a link on their home page.

There's still time to win Emma's copy of Diary of a Compost Hotline Operator - listen to episode 14 for how to enter.

This was a great podcast; I had no idea there were so many varieties.

A common saying in the US is, "You know you have friends if you've got zucchini" because they do grow like crazy!
