We look for any excuse to say "Fuck the FCC!" and "Fuck the RIAA."  Satellite, media as we know it. Yes, we go there. We chat up the Sirius/XM merger and how it will affect our listening habits. Dish Network and DirecTV: one or two? People moving to radio on the Internet. Satellite versus podcasting. But where is the best place to get traffic? There are no good outlets in LA right now, in any medium. Mike bores us with detailed LA traffic scenarios. But doesn't like Kansas City for some reason. Mike makes jokes about "flyover country." Miche is not amused. What would we choose if we had the full plethora of choices before us? Steve Jobs' comments about DRM. How DRM hurts their bottom line. Smart Bomb Radio gives us "The RIAA Will Kill Your Dog", available on the Podsafe Music Network (http://music.podshow.com). Prepare to buy a Black Labs song on March 22--"Mine Again." Podcasters need to get paid, just like musicians do. Radio people's salaries. Film studios knocking down movie stars' salaries. If there is a SAG strike, aren't people just going to turn to podcasting? Miche has a bone with the Diggnation guys. Steve Earle's "Rich Man's War"--available on the Podsafe Music Network (http://music.podshow.com)!!!! Check out Democracy Now's Feb. 20 edition for an interesting (and sad) story on Iraq and oil. Whether we are living through unimaginable horrors right now or not. Get all the world leaders high, and have them hash it out. "Have you seen a Republican high?" Rainn Wilson performed this weekend on SNL! With Arcade Fire. Miche liked the "Office" parody sketch. (And it is March before she posts it...)
