    CSB,

Adam was putting in just the right level of details for my use prior to his self-announced discovery that folks were using his show notes to determine whether to listen or not. So, if I take him at his word, it was not his time, but the use of the show notes that was the problem. I understand and would even accept that he decides to continue as is. It won't affect my listening. I do think the web is moving more-and-more to folks commenting within their own outlets instead of on others' outlets. As such, I actually prefer making my comments on my blog when I log my runs (I listen while running and commenting at this time just makes sense for me). The show notes are a great help and tool for me in that regard. Likewise, my commenting adds more to Adam's reputation (OK. I am very small fish, but in a pool of many fish...). So, I think it is in Adam's interest to have show notes like the old ones even if some use them to filter his show. For the rest of us, they remain a tool to help us comment and spread the love.

So, I still prefer the old way. Some how, I don't think the smoking of anything is related to his propensity for creating the show notes to which I refer. Although, for his own health, I would prefer that he was smoke free. But, to each his own.

Bob Evans : you can forget about detailed shownotes, Curry sausage is too busy with nicotine and pot smoking and occasional chatting with Podshow whores. The only chance for shownotes would be if podshow.com soft would allow wikis (I suggested it 100 years ago). It would have to be wiki integrated with podshow.com and not separate wiki - only then detailed shownotes would be possible.

Regarding Curry sausage's decision regarding more bloging: fuck yeah! I also applaud it. Unfortunately the only problem I see is that his blog allows anonymous non-registered commenters and in past there were 3-4 people who were posting as myself - were my impostors there. I am scared that if I will post comments on curry.com blog then impostors will come back etc. Maybe some combination of wordpres blog on curry.com with users registered through podshow would be a solutin, Adam, hello, are you there?

    Adam,
I say "here, here" to the notion that you will blog more next year. In fact, I have been disappointed by your decision to reduce the content in the show notes despite understanding your motivation. For me, the show notes served 2 purposes and never determined if I would listen to shows or not. I have always listened to every show. But, the notes did help remind me what was in the show in case I wanted to comment on my blog. Most of my blog entries are about my running which is when I listen. Sometimes, I don't get to the blog for hours after I listen so the notes were a great help. Second, the show notes would sometimes set the priority for listening. Which for me meant the difference between soon or very soon since I stay pretty current. Since you reduced the content, I now only come here to rant or rave and that's rare, or to determine if you have a published an episode. The latter is rare too since the My Channel problems have been resolved.

So, I say blog away man and show notes is a great place. Simply works for me. For those that use it to filter you out, let the consumer choose man. That's my opinion. I will listen either way.

My prediction for year 2007: Christina Curry will be pregnant and Adam Curry will go bonkers because of it...

hey, Adam, don't blame ME that Yahoo or AOL has not bought Podshow Inc! If Podshow Inc would try harder and release features faster (free hosting of podcasts in return for ads = 2 years of delay), and offer higher usability and faster speed of operation - then my prediction could materialize - don't blame ME for Podshow Inc being sloppy!

Anywayz, Happy and Healthy New Year to you Adam Curry and to everybody who reads it.
