Located in the North of France, the Seine is a 482-mile river that flows through Paris and into the English Channel. The river has been home to a number of important historical events - Joan of Arc's ashes were scattered into it in 1431, it was host to a handful of events during the 1900 Olympic Games, and it was the source the Great Flood of 1910 that almost destroyed Paris.

It's rare you'll see a movie shoot in Paris and not include the Seine. Recent hits like Taken, Hugo, and Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris have prominently featured the river. There are even some future blockbusters shooting along it's banks right now, including a new Smurfs movie and a sequel to the 2010 Bruce Willis action-flick RED.

Celebs love cruising the Seine too! Madonna, Pierce Brosnan, Mila Kunis, and Taylor Swift have all been seen boating down the river and taking in it's beautiful sights. And you can see why! The Seine is a gorgeous way to view the city of lights.
