Bite Size Sports Update Tim Tebow Sues T-Shirt Company

MEVIOtoday

May 17, 2012 Tim Tebow Sues T-Shirt Company

So we all know that Tim Tebow is down with Jesus.. but he is not down with the recent My Jesus shirts that have been circulating around the internet. Take a look at this shirt from the people over at CubbyTees. The shirt is a recreation of the classic NY Jets logo with a biblical spin on it and Tebow's people are not having it. His attorney's sent a cease and desist letter over to the folks at Cubby Tees. His attorney stated that "The Merchandise makes it appear as if Mr. Tebow actually endorses Cubby Tees and its products."  While yes its true when you think of Jesus and the Jets, you'll most likely think about Tebow but in no way was the intent of this shirt supposed to have fans think that Tebow has anything to do with it.  I mean his name isn't on the shirt, nor any of his likeness.I think Tebow's cease and desist paperwork is only making this shirt more popular and giving Cubby Tees a ton of free publicity.  The Company plans on continuing to sell the shirt stating the "My Jesus" design on the Jets' logo "shares nothing with Mr. Tebow except for promotion of a common Lord and Savior."

My fail of the day goes to this dancing fan. TNT put this guy on camera several times in Wednesday's SIxers-Celtics game. I mean don't care how poorly the Sixers played last night and I don't care if its important to distract the opposing team when they shoot free throws but in no way should this be allowed. Everything about this is hard to watch and TNT exploited this to the max and even let him talk to Charles Barkely after the game and gave him close to a minute of camera time. I don't know about you but I'm headed to the gym.

The win of the day goes to Ilya Kovalchuk. The Devils avoided going down 2 games Wed. night with a big win over the Rangers in the Eastern Conf. Finals. Kovalchuk has been known over the years as being one of the leagues best snipers and its always dangerous to let him have the puck for extended periods of time. Take a look as Zidlicky feeds the beast and Kovalchuk rifles one top shelf past Lundquist. The Devils beat the Rangers 3-2 and tied the series at 1 game a piece. In his last 5 games Kovi has 3 goals and 4 ast, and the Devils are making believers out of me.
