The Rad Report Harmony Korine Is Back With Spring Breakers

Apr 25, 2012 Harmony Korine Is Back With Spring Breakers

From The Rad Report:

Harmony Korine is one of my favorite writers and directors of all time. He's back with a new short film starring Val Kilmer. The movie stars Kilmer as a big fat unkempt motivational speaker, who is actually named Val Kilmer. Dazed Mag has some cool behind the scenes shots from set. Harmony is also in the midst of shooting another film called Spring Breakers, which stars Vanessa Hudgens, and many other babes who spend most of the film in bikinis. Harmony promises this movie is going to "blow some people's minds.' Cooool. And did you know Harmony is actually the proud star of the greatest David Letterman appearance of all-time?

What a guy.

I grew up in Northern California where the ocean gets pretty darn cold in the winter. Anyone who's surfed in water of that temperature knows that ice cream headaches aren't very fun. I've always been pretty sure they kill brain cells. I've felt dumber all day after surfing in the morning. I swear. Well, some scientist from Harvard think they have figured out why ice cream headaches happen. It goes something like this:

"“The brain is fairly sensitive to temperature." As the brain hits cold water the body forces blood into the brain to keep it warm.

“This influx of blood can’t be cleared as quickly as it is coming in during the brain freeze, so it could raise the pressure inside the skull and induce pain that way."

Basically too much blood in too little space. Ouch that's my brain.

And finally today, if you didn't already think governments around the world don't do anything but waste time, here's the British Parliament listening to Russell Brand quote Tupac on a drug panel:

Well that is just enlightening right there. Thanks Russell.

Ok that's all for me. Have a nice day. Later.
