Jennifer Lopez began her career as a fly girl on In Living Color in 1991

She was a backup dancer for New Kids on the Block for their performance on the American Music Awards in 1991.

In 1997, JLo starred as the title role in the movie Selena. The role earned her various awards and nominations including a Golden Globe nomination for best actress in a musical.

Her debut single, If You Had My Love,  reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1999.

With the release of The Wedding Planner and her second album, she was the first female to have a number album and film in the country in the same week.

She dated P. Diddy for seventeens months, but they broke up in 2001 because of his involvement in a shooting.

JLo's third studio album, "This Is Me... Then" was dedicated to her former fiancée, Ben Affleck

In 2004, she married Marc Anthony. The couple had three children before their separation in 2011.
