Fashioning Tech Tech Out Your Workout: Running

MEVIOtoday

Feb 01, 2012 Tech Out Your Workout: Running

I'm all about enhancing my workout, especially running. My biggest dilemma is earbuds and time. My earbuds never fit right or always fall out and I can tell how long I've been exercising for to attain the best workout possible. Here are two gadgets that are spearheading these problems.

Oakley Thump Sunglasses is the worlds first audio eye wear. The revolutionary design integrates a music player and headphone into the frame of the sunglasses.

Pros: absolute wire free. Cons: I don't want to put on my sunglasses and every time have to deal with the little earbuds covering blocking off my hearing. These are hazardous! Anyhow, I like my music extremely loud when I'm running and these earbuds don't even fit in the ears auditory canal. I'm still waiting for a better design.

These sunglasses are unconventional for everyday use.

Nike + iPod Equals Smooth Runnings. A miniature transmitter fits into your pair of shoes and send data to a tiny sized receiver that attaches itself to the dock connector on the bottom of your ipod. This couple tracks and stores your distance, pace and calorie data from your workouts. That's an answer to my prayers! I only wish it was compatible with my heart rate monitor. Avoid the treadmill and go outside with this new device!Â
