This week the girls take a look at the latest video from Canadian electropop artist Lights for her song "Toes."

LIGHTS was born Valerie Anne Poxleitner in Timmins Ontario to parents who were missionaries. She thus spent much of her childhood traveling the world with them on mission. At the age of 11, she learned three chords on the guitar and set one of the Psalms to music with them. She's been writing ever since, eventually winning a Juno Award for her catchy Synthpop music.

The 24-year-old beauty had her name legally changed to LIGHTS when she turned 18 in order to signify that the first chapter of her life had come to a close and a new one had begun. She now resides in Tronto when not on tour.

The video for her new song "Toes" (from the album "Siberia") features locations around Toronto, including Dufferin Station.

Jackie and Martina liked this one quite a bit, mainly because they both adore LIGHTS, after having interviewed her on the Warped Tour a few years ago, and learning that she is soooo nice. They also admitted that during the interview there was a moment when they stopped to say "you're gorgeous!"

They also revealed that she's a nerd. Video games...WoW...you get the picture. But a nice, *pretty* nerd.

She earned a B from both of our reformers this time. "The video wasn't anything special, but it wasn't bad."
