Hi I'm Rachael Downie on this, your bank holiday edition of hot off the net UK.

A record number of police officers are set to be on duty today, for the final day of the Notting Hill Carnival in a bid to ward off further disorder after this month's London riots.

The unprecedented security operation involving 6,500 officers comes as more than a million people were expected to attend the two-day event in west London.

Thankfully, The festivities got off to a peaceful start yesterday - traditionally children's day. The biggest question surely is whether the rain will hold off today.

Well it is bank holiday!

CRACK open the Bolly, Patsy, international hit comedy Absolutely Fabulous is making a TV comeback later this year.
