Lindi Ortega is a Mexican-Irish singer-songwriter from Toronto, Canada. She is an Alt-Country singer who has been described as a mix of Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, and Emily-Lou Harris. She spent nearly a decade releasing music as an independent artist, becoming known as Toronto's best kept secret. She released her debut album, The Taste of Forbidden Fruit, in 2001. Since then she has released one more full album and two EPs. Her next album is set to be released on June 7th, 2011.
