Netflix finalized a deal that will allow them to offer streaming content licensed by CBS. Netflix now has serves content from all four broadcast networks. In other news, Google is providing $2.7 million in grants for digital journalism initiatives. The fund will foster breakthrough ideas that Google hopes will revolutionize digital news access worldwide. The International Press Institute is overseeing the initiative and is accepting proposals until June 1st. And finally, Vietnam is enforcing a curfew that restricts people from playing online video games between 10PM and 8AM. The country is having problems with video game addiction and is asking ISPs to block game access starting March 3rd. Does a government have the right to decide what is in the people’s best interest?
