Moxie Mo Show MM173: New Macbook Air, Dad Sends iPhone To Space, Dirty Phones

Oct 19, 2010 MM173: New Macbook Air, Dad Sends iPhone To Space, Dirty Phones

Apple's Back to the Mac event coming this Wednesday (Oct 20, 2010) is expected to be a big event, as usual. Clearly, Back to the Mac denotes a change in the Mac lineup and experts as well as rumor mills are stating that sources have "confirmed" a new MacBook Air on the horizon - not just one, but two different models. The Moxie Mo has all the details on what you can expect with the much needed refresh of the Macbook Air and what other news may be heading our way.

One of the coolest "science projects" I've seen lately belongs to a father and son duo in New York who are getting a lot of attention today all over the "tech" blogs and news section. Why? Thanks to a weather balloon, an HD videocam and an iPhone 4, they successfully launched and VIDEO TAPED the balloon's ascent into space - over 100,000 feet above the surface of the earth!! The video is so impressive and beautiful. So how in the world did they get their iPhone back? You'll have to watch the show to see why MobileMe and the iPhone 4 are a perfect GPS tracking device! Check out the video by watching episode 173.

Last but not least, a pretty sick and scary statistic has come out from another study by Stanford University - but this time, you may not ever want to share your smart phone to a friend again! The study shows that your cell phone is over 18 times dirtier than.... a public restroom's toilet seat! You won't believe this until you see it - and the Moxie Mo tells you exactly why viruses and germs love your iPhone, Droid, Blackberry and even touchscreen tablets such as the iPad.

As I say to all of you, I am not only thankful that the Moxie Mo Show made it to the top iTunes Technology Gadget page (go MOXIES!) but that YOU help ME do the show by using our PROMO CODES! Without your support, I couldn't do this show and I need ALL OF YOU to spread the word to all of your moxie friends and family - anyone who loves technology or who SHOULD love technology, this is the show for them!  Want to know how to subscribe to the show?
