New York’s intense street dancing underground comes alive in eye-popping Digital 3D in the third installment of the Step Up franchise as the raw, passion-fueled culture goes global.  A tight-knit group of street dancers, including Luke (Rick Malambri) and Natalie (Sharni Vinson), team up with NYU freshman Moose (Adam Sevani), and find themselves pitted against the world’s best hip-hop dancers in a high-stakes showdown that will change their lives forever.

As the first-ever 3D dance drama, “Step Up 3D” is the first film of its kind to actually be shot in 3D—a rising technical phenomenon that thus far has been reserved for high-concept, big-budget films.  It’s also the first 3D feature film to be shot entirely in New York City.  Acclaimed director Jon M. Chu, who made his feature directorial debut on 2008’s box-office hit, Step Up 2 The Streets, returns to direct.

Step Up 3D was written by Amy Andelson & Emily Meyer, based on characters created by Duane Adler.  Patrick Wachsberger & Erik Feig of Summit Entertainment produce with Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot of Offspring Entertainment.
