Earning respect (rather than demanding it), being admired by your kids, becoming an expert to them- these are powerful tools and we discuss them a little and how they can help us in the long run. Also, how to do all the above while pulling away and giving some liberties to avoid being the Helicotper Parent described in the Time Magazine Article. This is an area that I need to work on in a big way.
