The Fretlight Guitar will help teach kids how to play the guitar and where to put their fingers.

Teaching kids about audio is important, and it's a goal the GeoSafari Digital Recording Lab aims to do. With 59 projects, kids can learn about transistors, capacitors, resistors and wiring.

My first robot was from Parallax. They offer lots of robot kits, from beginner to advanced. The Boe-Bot is for kids 12 or older and teaches electronics, circuits, robotics and micro-controller programming.
