Introductions

We do our own celebration of the very first Carl Sagan Day! Huzzah! We talk all things Sagan for a bit, including quotes, misquotes, and trivia. We miss you, man!

We give a nod to the Gunpowder Treason leader. Remember! Remember!

Howard Hanson Dam Update
We check in on the flooding situation in the Kent Valley and the status of the Howard Hanson Dam, plus dam flow stats, which controls the flow of the Green River. We also talk about flood preparation in other areas around the Puget Sound.

Dumb & Dumber
G-Man goes off on his boss (Curtis) for e-mailing stupidity before going after Hitler-Obama protester in Seattle; plus earbuds for the win! Kat also gives her two-cents on the idiots at her job.

Shootings!
G-Man segways into two shootings; the first relating to a suspect being shot the same day as the Seattle police officer he was suspected of killing was being honored and buried; the other referring the Fort Hood mass shooting by an army psychologist. We give our observations on these incidents, the American judicial and penal system, Islam and the US military, and other related tangents.

Lisbon Treaty Ratified!
The Treaty of Lisbon is finally ratified by all member states, making the EU something more than just a club. Will all hell break loose? Is the EU as evil (now) as some fear? Is the treaty really an EU constitution 2.0? Listen and find out!

Scientology Fined in France (Finally!)
Scientology finally gets its ass handed to them by the French courts in the way of fines for the cult (as it is known in France) and fines plus jail times for its four French leaders! Huzzah! From there, we get into French work culture and the Seattle French pigeon; and the star plan to track Kat's lazy-ass boss!

Conservative Bible… WTF!?
Yep, just when you though it was case to think of the Bible as "conservative", now et good folks at Conservapedia have a little project to take the "liberal" out of the Bible. If there is a Christian God, something tell us he's gonna be more pissed at them than at us; scary, huh? Well, if that doesn't have you shaking your head, there's a special edition of Darwin's "Origin of Species" being distributed free on college campuses with a 50-page introduction that tries to refutes the book itself. Srsly?
