Hi I’m Jim Butler and Welcome to Dark Ambient # 27 – The Lost Machines

Hello hope everyone is doing well…This months Podcast is a sort of floating sonic ride to the Netherworld  and back. Yes I did think that up on my own …I was sort of inspired by seeing the trailer for the new Tron 2 movie.

At the end of the podcast will be a 5 minute sample of my new CD Drone 1: Darkside of the Drone. This CD and all of my recordings are available at iTunes, Amazon.com, E-Music.com, Rhapsody and Napster. The link to all of those recordings is on the front page of my website www.jimbutlermusic.com. A quick word about my new website.

I say new as I have in my never ending website journey  I switched from using from Go Daddy to WordPress.com and I have finally landed at Squarespace.com  Squarespace gave me a little more freedom for what I needed to do. With amount of time I have devoted to the podcasts and releasing CD’s it really made sense to accept the fact that my hobby really has morphed into a business, and there fore a business website.

So to support a business website and my impending move to podcast provider that I will be paying for I’ve decided to add advertising to the website. For long time listeners of the Dark Ambient podcast, they will know I’ve tried to sort of hold back on doing that, but time has come for me to take the next step for myself and my music and the Podcasts.  


 There are links and some banners on that page and on the website for offer from various companies, no Viagra and whack the mole or any of that type of crap, just Napster, E-music, Tunecore and the godfather of the internet advertising Audible.com. On the right hand side of all the pages you will see a link to Amazon.com. Using that link will bring you to Amazon and anything you purchase using that link will also help out offsetting the cost of the podcast and the podcast. The last thing also on the right hand side you will see a Pay Pal donate button. On my older podcasts I always said I would rather have people just buy the music instead of making a straight up donation, well I changed my mind ….So if you enjoy having a free podcast and are able to, and want to make a donation, you can do it there …As always any type of support is appreciated.
