Michael Anthony

Birth Name: Michael Anthony Sobolewski.
Birth date: June 20, 1954
Birth Place: Chicago, Illinois.
As a son of a musician, Michael starts his music education early. As a little boy, he plays the trumpet in the school band, then his family moved to L.A. and he starts playing bass with groups from school until he meets the Van Halen Brothers and David Lee Roth. Mike is one of the greatest bass players today.

Eddie Van Halen

Birth Name: Edward Lodewijk Van Halen.
Birth date: January 26, 1955
Birth Place: Nijmegen, Holland.
As a little boy, Eddie started classical piano lessons influenced by his father Jan Van Halen. In 1968, the Van Halen family relocated to California where Eddie had a job as a paperboy. He started playing the drums but when Eddie was out his brother Alex used the drum kit, and Eddie decided that Alex was better at drums than himself, so Eddie bought a guitar and started practicing with Eric Clapton music.

In April 11, 1981 married the actress Valerie Bertinelli, and they have a son, Wolfang William Van Halen who was born March 16 1991.		 edbio.jpg

Alex Van Halen

Birth name: Alex Arthur Van Halen.
Birth date: May 8, 1953
Birth Place: Nijmegen, Holland.
Alex, the older of the Van Halen Brothers, started his music education with piano lessons, as did his brother Eddie. After the Van Halen family moved to L.A. he started practicing guitar, but he tried his brother's drum kit, and he decided to switch to drums. You can hear Alex playing piano in the Twister Soundtrack, in a song called "Respect the Wind".

Sammy Hagar

Birth name: Sammy Roy Hagar
Born date: October 13, 1947
Born Place: Monterey, California.
Former member of the Montrose band, and a successful solo artist ("I can't drive 55"), he joined Van Halen when David Lee Roth left the band for a solo career. He owns the Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas Mexico, and is known as the "Red Rocker".		 Hagar-Anthony.gif

David Lee Roth

Birth name: David Lee Roth
Birth date: October 10, 1954
Birth Place: Bloomington, Indiana.
David Lee Roth he moved to L.A. early in his career, joining different local bands until he met a band named "Mamooth". He joined this band that later became Van Halen, and was the lead singer for 10 years before he left for a solo career. As a solo artist, he made 5 albums and even recorded 1 album in Spanish. In a controversial move, he returned to Van Halen after 11 years to record 2 songs, which appear on the Best of Volume 1.		 davebio.jpg
