NEWS ON CAPTAIN AMERICA: WHITE

From the Mondo Marvel Panel at the Long Beach Comic Convention:

Jeph Loeb: The situation with 'Cap: White' is that Tim Sale is a terrific illustrator. We decided we wanted to have the six issues done before publishing. [Sale is] hard at work at issue six right now. And I know it seems like a long time from now, but I know that [the series] will be out before the movie.

Mark Paniccia: The move has been bumped back to what, 2015?

I would also ask Loeb to stop teasing us:

Paniccia couldn't talk about Warren Ellis' "Nextwave," but Loeb said that Ellis and Marvel editor-in-chief Joe Quesada have been talking about it. "But I'm making that up, so I don't know," quipped Loeb.

Bastard.

WALLY WEST GETTING A BACKUP CO-FEATURE IN "FLASH"

Coming out of the LBCC, news that the Barry Allen "Flash" book - by Geoff Johns and Francis Manapul - will be getting a Wally West co-feature by Johns & Scott Kolins.  Wally will also be sporting a new look coming out of Rebirth.

THE GEOFF & GRANT SHOW @ DC

No, that's not a new Vaudeville act coming to the Nation's capitol.  It is, according to Rich Johnston, the plan at DC Comics Entertainment where the keys to all of the big toys will be turned over to Grant Morrison and Geoff Johns.  Johns on Green Lantern, Flash and a new core Justice League title, Morrison on Batman & Robin as well as on a Superman and a Wonder Woman book.  All just speculation, but fun nonetheless.
