You know what I've always wanted to be? A paintball. I even went to Paintball Juliard. Do you know had hard it is to get into Paintball Juliard???

In De Blob, you bounce around Chroma City smashing into buildings and spreading the color love. Just watch out for the evil soldiers of the INKT corporation, who want to keep the city gray and boring. Spoilsports!

You control Blob with the analogue stick of the nunchuck and shake the remote to jump. You get points by painting the landscape, or by doing challenges such as painting a block all the same colour, or ridding the area of enemies.

But watch out! Water can wash off all your color, and ink will kill you, in which case water is actually a good thing. Mostly, though, you don't have to worry about much. You just bounce around like crazy and they the world come alive with color.

The cut scenes are fantastic, the graphics are sharp and the music's great. The music is enhanced as you paint which sort of means you can mix your own music as you mix the paints.

Multiplayer gets even more frenetic , with up to four people competing to see who can taste the rainbow the fastest.

De Blob is a funky and fantastic game, and shines high above all those other guide-a-living-paintball-around-town-while-avoiding-soldiers-with-suspicious-hats games like... well, it's a great game.
De Blob gets an excellent 8 out of 10.
