Directed by Tex Avery and starring Mel Blanc, The Early Bird Gets the Worm is a controversial cartoon that tells the story of a mama bird who tells her chicks the classic bedtime story about the early bird getting the worm. She's also warns them about the fox - who is waiting for the early bird for breakfast.

The controversy stems from the racial depictions which are distasteful to anyone watching from a modern perspective but were commonplace in the late '30s / early '40s when this cartoon was created.
