WHY DEADPOOL?Deadpool
#900 is coming out soon, but why this particular hero? Why has he held
up for so long? And how is it that Marvel has managed to get him into
almost as many books as Wolverine?
KIRKMAN TALKS ABOUT WAKING DEAD ON TVHe sounds happy, which makes this Tiger Man happy. Looking forward to how this series turns out!
MARVEL AND DC, COMING IN A BIT MORE EVENOh monthly numbers, how interesting you can be. How much conjecture can we pull from them this time, hmmmm?
MANAPUL JOINING JOHNS ON 'THE FLASH'
Francis
Manapul earned raves for his debut issue of Adventure Comics. So DC is
moving him off of that and onto the new Flash book, with the ubiquitous
Geoff Johns penning both books, of course. It also sounds like Johns
will be leaving Adventure Comics after #6 as well. Â
SUPERMAN, OR THE PUNISHER?
So Tom Welling will be donning
a costume during the upcoming season of Smallville. But it won't be the costume we're used to.
Yeah, if you didn't know better you'd think he was the Punisher and not the Man of Steel. Â Â
EBOOK READER WITH COMIC VIEWER
Well
I'll be damned. Looks like the next Kindle-inspired eBook reader it
supporting comic reading. It's all translated from one of those fancy
foreign languages, but that picture in the article speaks volumes. Or
does it speak "issues"?
MARVELMAN REPRINTS COMING?We're
not talking just the oldest material, but it looks as though the Moore
and Gaimen material will come back to life as well. Well, we hope. :)
RAMBO'S NEXT OPPONENT: ALIENS...SPACE ALIENSNot strictly comic news, but too
cool awful not to mention. Apparently Rambo's next movie will see him going up against honest to god space aliens.  Â
"John Rambo could track anyone - or anything - on earth. Now the
military desperately needs him for a mission that his ultrasensitive
instincts tell him he should refuse. A beast is loose somewhere north
of the Arctic Circle. It has already decimated a secret research
facility and annihilated a squad of elite military guards. And the
raging creature is headed south toward civilization, ready to wreak
bloody devastation.
It's a job that Rambo and his 22-year-old hunting partner, Beau
Brady, can't turn down, but they and a team of highly-skilled special
forces kill team discover that the prey is a terror beyond their
wildest imagination - a half-human abomination created by a renegade
agency through a series of outlawed genetic experiments. It has man's
cunning, a predator's savageness, and a prehistoric power that has
transcended the ages. And even if Rambo and Beau survive its
unrelenting hunger for human blood, they'll still have to confront the
grim reality that it may have grown immortal."
