Food Focus: Broccoli

The most important health benefits of eating broccoli on a regular basis are vitamin C, vitamin A (mostly as beta-carotene), folic acid, calcium, and fiber.

 

Food Review : Mary Gone Crackers

On the side of the box it says kosher, non-GMO, whole grain, heart healthy, dairy free, no hydrogenated oils, no trans fats, contains omega-3 fatty acids. Now as for the staple ingredients for each of the flavors we have all organic ingredients short grain brown rice, whole quinoa, brown flax seeds, brown sesame seeds, filtered water, wheat-free tamari and sea salt.

Tip of the week: How to get people to eat healthy

If you want someone to eat healthy don’t tell them the food is healthy.
For example, if you cooked a brown rice dish with veggies and it looks exactly like fried rice don’t tell anyone its healthy just tell them you made fried rice. If you want to introduce healthy meals into someone’s life make foods that resemble the foods that they are already eating but my making a healthier version of it and don’t tell them it’s healthy.
