Michele Vreeland, "Wanted To Say"

Michele VreelandOriginally from Norwalk , Ca Michele began her journey of discovering herself as a songwriter as a child, writing her first song soon after finding her dad's guitar in the closet. Self taught on the guitar she has developed a picking sound that is unique and her own. A pop/rock sound that is a little bit alternative country, a little bit contemporary folk, always melodic and full of harmonies. Michele likes to write songs that are memorable using melodies and lyrics that stand out and tell stories. Some of the stories are personal. Some of them are from the outside looking in. Some are mantras to her. She says, "I derive some song ideas through my poems; LA Dream was a poem before a song."

Her first debut is a 7-song EP titled "Never Not Myself," produced by her and co-produced by Sean Gordon in Los Angeles . The two of them in a room created the tracks from start to finish. In her own words, "This is where I learned that I wanted to produce as well as write songs. I love going into the studio! And Sean was great. He really let me do my thing."

"Never Not Myself" brings to light the work of a girl who has some serious songwriting and producing talent. It’s a surprise that this EP was not born from the realms of a major studio. Instead it was funded and produced by her label “100 Girl Spill Records” on a shoestring budget. Michele says, "I believe in doing your very best with the resources that you have in front of you. That having been said, I'm really proud of what I accomplished with this EP." Michele Vreeland has all of the elements of a great artist you'll want to keep your eye (and ears) on for years to come.
