I spent last weekend at Motor City Comic Con and had a great time buying some hardcover trades and talking to the artists. Being an independent comic artist at a comic convention is hard work that often goes unappreciated as people flock over to the B-movie stars or bargain bins, leaving out artists that pour their life into drawings and creating books that we relate to so much more than the superhero of the week.
