a. Deerhunter’s Microcastle – this album rates a near-classic for KESS. Worthy of every hyperbolic description you can think of. a. Quantum of Solace gets shitty reviews – and Alicia Keys and Jack White do the soundtrack. This is what happens when you put the director of weepy “Neverland” in charge of a British ass-kicking flick. The movie reportedly needs a hell of a lot less maudlin rumination and a whole fuck of a lot more boots up people’s asses, with everyone getting hit so hard in the ass they should have called the movie “James Bond: I’m Going Hardcore on Your Ass” or something. Instead “Quantum of Solace” is a very apt name for this one.
