I have really grown to like you over the last few months mate, since I stumbled upon the podcast and now I hear you going down this well trodden conspiracy theories path I am worried.
I am not saying there are not situations where governments and corporations do conspire and of course, I know they have secrets-lots of them.
I just think you have to keep your wits about you - it is all too easy to start looking into things like the things you are talking about, online there are so many places to (apparently) corroborate such ideas and so many people that will agree and appear to confirm such MISinformation.
It doesn't make it any more correct though.
You are a smart guy so come on...just don't lose sight of the real truth and the reality.
Some things, such as the basic laws of physics, just can not be broken!

you made it sound like EU is bankrolling USA with 50/55 billion but it is notthing compared to TRILLIONS that USA is spending on military operations.... so it is some tiny support only, nothing essential.
regarding oil companies: it is oligopoly - check this term! - if that would be free market then petrol prices would be lower and their profits reasonable. REsources of oil are limited and i reckon that those bastards want to ripp off folkz max as long as there is any oil.
regarding California Dave: I think he wanted to become congressman and not president of USA right away! anyway in USA there is 2 PARTY SYSTEM meaning that one must be blessed from Democratic or Republican party and no other libertarian or other party member can do shit! nothing! 2 part system Adam in USA so please get real!... and stop dreaming that you libertarians can change anything... sorry.
