Hey Adam! Great to hear your voice again and I enjoyed listening about all the good times you had in France.

I had to comment on what you said about Milton Friedman. I recently read Ron Paul's book "The Revolution: A Manifesto" and I was struck by how extremely similar it was to Milton Friedman's own book "Free to Choose." Both Dr. Paul and Mr. Friedman had many similar beliefs, they were both:

    - in favour of a small government that ran balanced budgets
    - in favour of the government staying out of 'nanny state' activities
    - both men were against the Iraq war
    - both were very critical of the Federal Reserve with Mr. Friedman believing that it was the primary cause of the Great Depression
    - both were strongly against government intervention of any sorts in the free market

I will have to read "The Shock Doctrine" sometime soon in order to give Naomi Klein a fair chance, but I have to wonder if she is not being overly critical of Mr. Friedman.

everybody that has to agree on it, did it already in UK: both houses of parliaments, queen, prime minister. Adam, you don't believe, you WANT to believe.

I do not believe it has been ratified in the UK, it has a 'royal assention', but that is not the same as ratificaton.

thank you for playing my comment. The only good thing about Sarkozy is his Italian wife... and I agree that he should not bully Irish people into voting again.

Lisbon Treaty has been ratified in UK and even Queen signed it. It is comleted in UK. Still it is not ratified by: Ireland (of course), Czechs, Finnland, Germany, Poland. Other EU countries ratified it.

why do I have impression, while listening to this episode, that I hear surreptitious

    advertising? must be my dellusions...

regarding oil prices: don't you think that oil producers have something to do with it?

Not just speculators in the west?
