Adam:
As usual, I listened to Fubar Friday on my Saturday morning bike ride. Nothing like some good rock and a few red pill moments to get the blood flowing to the brain.
Though I would be happy to do a little research on Ivanukite - the Russian mineral that absorbs radioactive isotopes from water - I have to detour for a little rant of my own.
Your excitement about the article is great on one hand since it reinforces your interest in NuClear power. On the other hand, it completely reinforces the idea that you have shared regarding the POWER of CONDITIONING.
Like most of the world, you have been conditioned to say - "but what about the waste" - as a response to any discussion that seems to point to the idea that NuClear energy is better than what we have today. How come no one ever says "what about the waste?" when referring to coal, oil or natural gas? Did you ever think about the fact that all of our smokestacks are dumping honest to goodness, proven DEADLY waste out to our common atmosphere every second that they are operating? I am not talking about global climate change, I am talking about the nearly immediate effect that sucking on a tailpipe would have on human beings.
We have all pumped enough gas to have noticed that there is also a sticker on the pumps warning people about getting too much exposure to the fumes since they have been linked to cancer in laboratory rats, but does that stop us from filling our tanks and going merrily about our daily lives?
The left over materials from atomic fission are only deadly if they are not properly handled or if people do not take adequate precautions. Because of the value of the product produced and the low overall cost of the process, we are able to take those precautions very seriously to the point where NO ONE in the world has ever been killed or even injured because of accidental exposure to NuClear waste materials. Try counting all of the people who have been killed by breathing carbon monoxide or smoke inhalation.
Anyway, I will try to put together an audio version of what I find out about the Russian mineral, but my initial response is that we have plenty of effective ways of handling the left over materials today. Get past the conditioning and realize that NuClear is simply better than its competition.

Adam, you should try getting Bluepill for some time ! Otherwise I see that you are falling into total paranoia either caused by your marijuana intake or by DSC listeners feeding to you various conspiracy theories.
Bluepill is tasty, just give it a try, matey! Furthermore worrying too much is not healthy - not just for your psychological health but also for physical health.
... so yes, some (not all) Euro banknotes have RFID in them, but how can you imagine that "governments are tracking you"? To make it possible banks would have to have RFID scanners in their cash mnachines and banks would have to send information to goverments what banknotes were given to you and on top of that RFID scanners would have to be in many places, in which they obviously are not and if they are (like in shops) then certainly they are not transmitting secretly information about what banknotes are used to governments.
Finally: Euro currency is now used in 15 countries = 320 million poeple, including some from east EU and soon several other countries will join (new east EU members cannot refuse Euro like UK) Euro zone and the number will pumped up to over 400 milliion, i.e. more people than USA has... so no wonder some very good protection of Euro banknotes is needed.
However seeing conspiracy in everything is not always healthy Adam!
Anyway, Adam, tomorrow on Sunday you can expect an email from me entitled "Ireland"!
