Arthursen has used the robot's unexptected malfunction to prove the capabilities of the scuttled military software program to elude capture. Arthursen cuts a shotgun wedding deal with Cal. He'll signal the robots to come in from behind the curtain and Cal will take credit and receive 50 million dollars for his trouble. Money that may very well come from unscrupluous sources who end up as the highest bidder. It all doesn't sit well with Cal, who manages his escape, just as Arthursen finds himself locked out of the robots network by the very robots themselves.
