So... here I was patiently waiting for the Australian N810 release and hoping the podshow deal would extend to include us, but the deal's over already?

Now I have to pay stupidly high Australian retail prices without a nice 15% discount :(

Some online stores are selling it imported but at the equivalent of US$525 each...

CSB: Welcome to the world famous Trough of Disillusionment. It's deep and dark, and the only way out is a slippery slope...

Loek/theCandyman: hehe, yeah, they can continue but Google's Iceberg will come sooner or later - it is question of time.

Anyway I am sorry for my too harsh words... I am just a bit dissapointed with podshow tingy.

@CSB By that time the iceberg that will sink PodShow has already melted because of global warming, and so the PodShowBoat will float around aimlessly having run out of fuel a loooong time ago.

Adam Schwabe: Podshow is amateurishly designed, developed by hackers, not professionals and no usability expert ever was helping in its development. Lack of Atom/RSS feeds to comments after 4 years of existence of Podshow also proves utter incompetence. Instead of hiring independent consultants, without vested interest or need to suck up, like myself who would say everything and analyze things, Podshow relies on wish-washy amateurish opinions of people who have no idea. In other words: if Podshow will not be sold by the end of 2009 it will sink like Titanic and be sold for peanuts.

Adam, love the show, but Podshow's site is driving me a little bonkers:

    http://adamschwabe.com/2008/04/14/podshow-how-do-i-subscribe/

I try to approach sites in a way that I think novice users would, or those who aren't familiar with podcasting and subscribing. Even as an advanced user who's subscribed to dozen of podcasts, I can't for the life of me find the link on that main page - unless I'm missing something. Essentially, the page doesn't address some of the fundamental needs of the user.

For you, as one of the brains behind the network, this means people are facing obstacles when trying to digest your content - obstacles that will also prevent them from being exposed to advertising in the content.

If you some need some ideas, let me know :)

    Cheers,
    Adam.

Moneysavingexpert.com has a good article about car insurance:

though they do recommend Confused.com as a place to look

I would say yes, I would give up my iPod to protest because I use a Zune. However, I see that my Zune was also manufactured in China. Question is, would giving up what I already have hurt China? They already got paid. In fact, I presume, they already got paid for all the iPods already in the retail channel (sold or unsold). We would be hurting the American companies that contract out more than China. Now...if those companies gave up those Chinese contracts I might be willing to pay a little more for the product. THAT is the real question.
