#745 Daily Source Code for Thursday April 10th 2008

It's been a while, but once again a Charlie from the Curry Condo in NoCal, where the torch was doused and the people took to the streets. Gotta be a topic of conversation right? Terror reigns once again on Stoke in the UK and we kind of make this a semi-fubar with Jan's HitTest. I'm off to NY, talk to you in a day or two.

Music in this episode:

Post Script: RunToGold Link as discussed

Peter Frampton - Show Me The Way

David Garza - Ill Troubador

BuckCherry - Sorry

regarding this whole China thing let me add this: yesterday I had to buy flexible tripod and I noticed on it:

    "Designed in California, USA
    ETHICALLY Manufactured in China"

    Ethically??? What the fuck?

THANK YOU.... thank you. We must protest against sh** that is happening here and stop shipping our money over to China.

I grew up in Europe and I've always wondered why people don't demonstrate here. No one ever goes on the street if they are sick of something.

"Made in China", that is indeed evil. Bad for the economy, bad for the environment and for world safety. Something needs to be done, we have to start supporting products that are made here!

    Cheers, Hans

Re Live365: What I found when I've attempted to listen to the Charlie via it. If one does not interact with the player's adverts it cuts the stream off, say when one just has the player in the background. Which is very bad considering you're actually paying them to stream on their service. Obviously this won't happen with a dedicated Shoutcast server.

what a pathetic fake Italian accent in this haircut scene!

in DSC you promise to put link to that gold-something website in shownotes but you didn't do it, Adam!

yeah that's strange that people are more eager to participate in protests against foreign country when their own countries are screwed up: like NHS in UK etc.

regarding noagenda: ask Dvorak on noagenda how he liked the interview that he gave me.
