...here is one more reason myspace sucks:

Now, I like David Spade. But this was not the smartest thing he’s ever done. He should’ve assumed the character of Joe Dirt – at least it would’ve been humorous and perhaps more compelling. But he and these motherfuckers (read: myspace) have a promo on their HOME FUCKING PAGE advertising his Katrina-related commentary on “RockWorks.” Do yourself a favor and don’t click on the link I pasted above, you will only hear a - what is it now, visa spokesperson? – badly selected mouthpiece sputtering useless junk infused with humor, about Hurricane Katrina “one year later.” The only thing of any value coming from his voice box is the request to send a dollar, or two dollars, and even that is pathetic and humiliating.

I’m brutal, I know. But I volunteered on the gulf coast from January to May, getting a better night\\'s rest than most of the displaced residents, sleeping in tents for four months. And he’s telling you to send a dollar. He’s not telling you where to send it. He’s not telling you why you should send it. Every fucking person and their mother knows about Hurricane Katrina, it’s excruciatingly unfortunate that it’s a tired topic in our society. Give me a reason to send the dollar one year later! Don’t get up on the podium unless you have some damn persuasive things to say…calling all myspace whores, please send a dollar and laugh at my standup is not compelling dude. I don’t want to discourage people from seeking help and publicity for what remains to be a filthy wreck of a city once thick with soul, but you’re bringing up a topic that people have been hearing about for a-n e-n-t-i-r-e y-e-a-r. Give them a chard of glass in the eye, a dull shank in the heart, a Marshall in the ear - something more than a three-minute collage of feeble and impotent takes starring a man with his head in his ass.

These photos were all shot the week before I left, the first week in May. They were exactly as when I arrived, the first week in January.
