Greetings AK Fans!

Cabin fever is on and I can't wait to go fishing for King Salmon, trout fishing in my raft on a quiet lake, or mountain climbing. Summer is in my blood today as I type up this blog post. Alaska Podshow has grown, but just as it's grown so has the Iditarod consumed my production time! As a one man team here in AK producing two shows online between my day job, and spending the time I enjoy most with my family - I can't help feel potential is slipping my grip!

I've received a lot of big contacts lately with interest from a large Anchorage advertising agency, USA Today, Anchorage Daily News, and so on... I can't seem to afford to feel this beast. My goal for 2007 is to agressively pursue some advertising - so if anyone is interested in underwriting the Alaska Podshow, I'll send you a pitch.

Iditarod is upon me, so I'm teaming up with some amazing people this year with an offer from another website to take me under their wings and have connections with advertisers. It pains me because Iditarod Podcast is my baby, but to achieve what I'm shooting out to do - what other options are there? Anyway I'll be affording out of my own pocket flying to a few checkpoints along the Iditarod Sled Dog Trail located in the most remote areas of Alaska. I'm pretty jazzed about sharing this with everyone here on my shows.

Alaska Podshow second home website from this one here at Podshow has a new look, which I tried to bring over here at the alaska.podshow.com website. I like it with lots of room to expand and grow!

All in all it's been crazy for me! How about you?

But the Alaska Podshow will resume once again in a few days...

Cheers all!

Scott

Greetings from ANC

It's finally time I'm using my blog! It's completely sunny here in Anchorage after two days of solid rain and flooding throughout most parts of Alaska. However fall is coming quick and summer is giving up her fight -- Old man winter is setting up shop already where evidence can be seen on the mountain tops.

I've been shopping for new video equipment and debating heavily on whether I should purchase the Canon XL2 or the GL2. Money is not so much an object between the two, but the GL2 offers that small DV Cam feel, with television quality video. The XL2, while larger makes filming more natural... especially since I've worked with Television equipment before.

I just don't know and I'm in huge debate.

Winter should prove to be big fun for the Alaska Podshow as I have some things lined up for video that should appease just about everyone.

I have a survey up on Alaska Podshow to learn more about my audience.. Please take a moment to give it a go! 2 minutes is about all it should take at: http://survey.alaskapodshow.com

That's all today and I hope to pick up the posts here!
Cheers,
Scott

Good to be part of the family!

Greetings everybody!

A cloudy Monday 7:45 AM in Anchorage Alaska, and getting ready to settle into some work. Later today producing a show, so look for that at Show #71!

The Alaska Podshow is pleased to now be part of the Podshow Family and look forward to exploring all the opportunities for my show within the network. I also want to thank Adam Curry and Richard Brewer-Hay for the personable phone call inviting the Alaska Podshow into the Network.

Show notes can always be found at http://www.alaskapodshow.com , but it is here where I will be blogging as well.

This is going to be great!
Cheers,
Scott
