	Every year Alcatraz Island hosts former residents (guards, their families who lived and grew up on the island, and even former inmates) for a gethering which the public is invited to join. This year it will be on Sunday August 13. If you are interested in attending and hearing first hand stories of Alcatraz's past, you can purchase tickets in advance (it will sell out a week or two in advance) at www.blueandgoldfleet.com.
