A long weekend at the Edinburgh Fringe and some time with mad Scots podcaster Ewan Spence - now back for the exciting wade through the email inbox. I haven't been to the fringe for three years or so, but it's just as I remember; perhaps a little more intense. Saw a couple of great shows, saw several really, really bad shows (that's bad bad, not good bad), and in exchange for free press tickets to the shows,
jEN and I had to write some reviews - which was most fun, particularly on the bad shows! Evil came to the surface and it was genuinely necessary to slice through some of the hype.
This morphed from a simple fun weekend into a semi-work related venture as I was also there to keep an eye out for potential talent for PodShow - and I'm pleased to say, there was some! Around every corner, a face you recognise, and around every other corner, some form of great entertainment teasing your for attention.
Awesome place - if you ever get the chance to be in Edinburgh during August, don't hesitate.
