I've got some amazing news on our interview situation!!
We have been sending e-mails out to many of the managers who represent the Bonnaroo musicians in an attempt to procure interviews with their artists for Moe Train's Tracks Podcast.
I'll tell ya what… There have been more "YES" responses than "no's," that's for sure. Fortunately, the head of Bonnaroo PR has supplied me with an e-mail contact list, so contacting the managers has been VERY easy. If there's one thing that I can say about this experience, it's that I've been treated VERY well, which is certainly appreciated. So far, our AMAZING interview schedule will be including:
Confirmed
ZIGGY MARLEY (MY DREAM INTERVIEW - Sat June 16)
BOB WEIR (Of The Grateful Dead and Ratdog Fame - Sat June 16)
GIRL TALK (Badass DJ from Pittsburgh, PA)
DUBCONSCIOUS
NEIL FALLON (Lead Vocals/Guitar from Clutch)
LILY ALLEN (UK based ska/reggae artist… with the #1 hit, "Smile")
El-P
AESOP ROCK (The top hip-hop artists from the DefinitiveJux label)
"POSSIBLES"
DJ Sasha
John Digweed
The Hold Steady
The National
Rodrigo y Gabriela
Lewis Black
The Flaming Lips
Dave Attell
Flight of the Conchords
Amazing lineup, isn't it?!? Yeah, we're thrilled beyond words to be bringing such a lineup of artists to the podcast. Ziggy Marley has been one of my favorite musicians for as long as I can remember (of course his father… Mr. Robert Nesta Marley as well). Having the opportunity to sit down with him and discuss music will certainly prove to be THE DREAM INTERVIEW! Reggae's in my blood, and the Marley's are synonymous with Reggae… As the Rastas say, I feel "blessed."
If there's one thing that I can pass on to you guys, I'd like it to be this:
You've got to take chances to go after your goals. Even if the odds may be stacked against you… You'll never know unless you try. Sometimes, opportunity may fall right in your lap, but those are few and far between. Go after your goals, and NEVER be afraid to ask someone for "something." What's the worst thing that they could say? "No." If they say no, you just find another way to accomplish that goal.
This whole experience has been a very eye opening experience for me, and I can't wait to share it with everyone.
SEE YOU IN BONNAROO IN A WEEK AND A HALF!!!!
One Love.
Moe
